Every Wednesday
A collaboratively devised performance piece that used William Shakespeare’s The Tempest as a stimulus for the making proccess. Every Wednesday explores the idea of a storm as a cultural and emotional phenomena as well as an ecological one. Tracing the multispecies feminist musings of Donna Haraway in her seminal work Staying With The Trouble, this performance asks how we can deal with states of constant flux, and explores through performance the celebration, togetherness, reverence and absurdity of human life in the face of uncertainty with tenderness and humour.
Directed, devised and written by Kaiya Bartholomew and Gudrun Schmidinger.
Devised and performed by Noa Ferder, Tattie Chater Davies and Louise Van Tassel.
A weather station
The time you didn’t know where to go, so you simply stayed
Casting shadows, casting spells
When lightning strikes, who you gonna call
The moment before the music begins
love’s tender touch
marketing distractions
What would we do if this was ours?
It is ours. All ours.
Forecast. Prediction. Uncertainty
4am and all you want is a kebab
keeping it in, blurring it out
life preserving rain
What a time to be alive.
